Great news!
The McLeansville 5th Grade has been approved to visit Washington, D.C. in the 2012-2013 school year! We are so excited to go back to visit our Nation's Capital.

That means we need to start NOW to make this all happen! We will be holding a D.C. parent night to get everything set up for itinerary, payments, fund raisers, etc. Please look  for information this week on this event.

Our first 5th Grade fund raiser will be a Pizza Bingo on October 30th! Start telling all of your family and friends to mark their calendar for this community event. Proceeds will go towards the 5th Grade fund raiser! We also need your help gathering donations for prizes! Please see the letter in the Monday folder to help us!

We are going to need your full participation in these events to make our trip possible! Thank you for all you do!

I just had a great night at our PTA meeting! I am so glad to be a part of a staff and community that is so dedicated to our students! Please support the PTA by becoming and member and look for perks throughout the year! The fee is $5.00 per family.

TUESDAY, September 11th, is not only a day where we will reflect on the tragic event of 9/11, but we will prepare for excellence for our children's futures by learning how to help them succeed! Please join us for a quick PTA meeting in the gym and then head to your student's classroom for lots of information to succeed this year in 5th grade! We will be discussing ways to help your child at home, technology, classroom expectations, PBIS, and tackling those new words "Common Core".

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 at 6:00! Don't be late!

Monday folders went home today! Please make sure to look through all of the papers, sign behavior chart and yellow folder, and return to school on Tuesday!

Ways to stay up to date with what is going on in our classroom:
  • Check this blog
  • Email me!
  • Weekly Newsletter
  • My website calendar
  • Ask your child!
Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to better communicate with you!

Love,
